Description

The SAIS Women’s Alumni Network is delighted to host 'Developing a Voice', the second skills workshop this year, which explores how communication style can be used as a tool to becoming an effective leader. Whether in a formal context such as a corporate meeting, business pitch or job interview setting, or in informal situations, speaking clearly and mindfully helps build one's professional presence.

The event will open with a practicum led by Emily Howells ('08) and Marshall Milsap ('79). Special guests, Jan Nolte, a career coach from The Influential Voice, will share key challenges in communication, and Blanche Baker from the NY Film Academy, will discuss how to identify distracting communication habits. A dynamic panel discussion moderated by Daniela Kaisth ('89) will then draw on the experiences of SAIS alumnae: Kate Felsen ('93), Elizabeth Madigan Jost ('98), and Louise Schneider-Moretto ('98). Wine and cheese will be served. Don't miss this special evening!
